Great holiday, has everything you need and a pub literally a 1 min walk away!

Great

The cottage is spacious with everything needed in the kitchen and a large table at which to eat together. The bedrooms are large and the lounge has plenty of comfortable chairs - the open fire is glorious! There is plenty of hot water and the rainfall shower is wonderful. There is a nice garden outside to sit in the sun, and parking is easy and close. It is located in the centre of the village where there is a great shop/tea room and pub, and there are other villages with pubs in walking distance if you want to ring the changes. For walkers it is great - it is on several walking routes - long and short circular strolls with fabulous views. It was easy to reach Chichester and the coast, and there are plenty of stately homes and indoor & outdoor museums nearby, for all tastes and weathers. We would definitely book again.Need to be aware that there is limited phone signal unless you are on EE, but the WIFI was completely reliable, so this was not an issue. No space to put coats and shoes on entry, unless you use the downstairs loo, so might bring newspaper for muddy footwear. This property welcomes dogs, which concerned me a little as I am allergic to dog hair, but was not an issue - no trace of dog hair or smell - super clean.Only three non-feather pillows so allergic people may wish to bring some, though the owner, when made aware, has promised to add more.

We stayed in this charming and cosy cottage for two nights for a walking weekend. The cottage is located in a beautiful village within a stone's throw of a great pub and village shop/cafe. An array of excellent walks are accessible from the cottage doorstep. The cottage itself was well-equipped (lots of kitchen utensils, extra bedding, board games) with a wood burning fire - excellent for an evening in after a long day's walking! Recommended.

Lovely quaint cottage in a little quiet village. Close to village shop and pub

"Lovely quaint cottage in a little quiet village. Close to village shop and pub"

Tip:

"Local pub does lovely food and the area is full of similar pubs doing likewise. We found the Londis in Rowlands Castle very good for a quick shop. We did a walk from one of the books in the cottage from Arundel via The Black Rabbit pub good for dogs and right on the River Arun. We also went to Crimpling Beach which has a nice cafe on the beach."

My friends and I had a fantastic weekend in Pepper Pot Cottage. The house is super cosy but still comfortably housed 6 people and 2 dogs! We didn't take advantage of the open fire in the end as the house was well warm enough in the evenings with the heat from the storage heaters. The kitchen is well supplied and has a lovely big table perfect for meals together. There is no gas so heating and cooking is managed with electric appliances. We could walk straight out from the house onto a series of local foot paths and a great time exploring the countryside. The village has a little shop/tea room and a pub which offered some really nice food (although a very strict policy on muddy boots!!). We took two vehicles and although there is only 1 allocated parking space at the cottage had no problems parking the second car safely on the square in the village. Gerald has been a wonderful host, very friendly and quick to respond to any questions. We've exchanged a few emails and he really has been excellent.

Dog lovers welcome

As a 2 dog owner, its difficult to find anywhere that makes you welcome, Pepperpot Cottage owner Gerald C loves them. This is an ideal location for fantastic walks, including one right from the front door. Open fire, very warm and cosy, large rooms but maintains a cottage feel, well equipped, very hot water, wifi, even the neighbours are welcoming. We love it. If you dont like the countryside, dont appreciate what is available in this country, dont enjoy the peace and quiet, then dont come. This is perfection to us. Negative!!!! "its a long drive for a bottle of wine on a Sunday Night!!" Will definitely come back,

Very comfortable

Pepper cottage is a converted school house, it has 2 good sized bedrooms, large living room, well equipped kitchen and bathroom with shower over bath. It is very comfortable with dvd, tv, wifi etc. The owner seems a very nice chap, with nothing being too much effort. It is situated in a small village in the countryside and is nice and quiet, however it is quite remote. Although there is a pub serving food, the nearest takeaways are about 15 minutes drive away. Altogether a very pleasant experience.
